PGenome
is a series of 8
programs
written in C++ to test
the association of segregating sites in candidate genes with phenotypic
outcomes. The programs assemble, sort, perform an analysis of genotype
frequencies at segregating sites, perform two types of linkage disequilibrium
analysis among segregating sites, perform association mapping based
upon allele frequencies, and based upon genotypes.
We
illustrate the use of PGenome testing for association between segregating
sites at the Abundant Trypsin gene in Aedes aegypti with midgut
susceptibility to infection with the Dengue-2 virus
PGenome
was created to support the "Association Mapping of Segregating
sites in the midgut Early Gene and Susceptibility to Dengue-2 virus
in the mosquito Aedes aegypti by Norma Gorrochotegui-Escalante,
Saul Lozano-Fuentes, Kristine E. Bennett, Barry J. Beaty and William
C. Black IV" (submitted to Genetics).
